My daughter had surgery day before Thanksgiving. The nurses in the ICU are great specially Maddy and her night nurse . She is caring, attentive and compassionate. She makes sure that my daughter feels comfortable, her pain is controlled and goes above and beyond to make sure my daughter and our needs are met. They have such amazing ICU staff, the rooms are clean and her surgeon Dr. Bier and Ashely and the rest of her staff provided excellent care. It’s no fun to spend Thanksgiving in the hospital but we feel blessed that my daughter got excellent care and she is doing so much better after her surgery.
I would have given them 5 stars but we were in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hrs. My grandson's anxiety was through the roof with waiting and how many people were waiting to. We started to leave but then we then able to take him back. They were absolutely amazing with him and working with his adhd and anxiety. We were in the back area for 4 plus hours between having test and waiting on results which is totally understandable. They were very thorough which is what we needed to find out what was happening with him. I am very thankful for them being there and everything they did for him. I wish they had more people on staff so the wait both in the waiting room and in the back wasn't as long for little kids. They don't have the patience for waiting even when they don't feel good.
My son has been taken care of by phenomenal women at the day hospital. Michelle, Erika, Navandria, Dona, Tiffany, and I can’t remember the other lady’s name however, I wouldn’t trade any of them. They are each passionate about their jobs and cares for each child with love. Keep being great we depend on you💙 …
As a father I thought I would get the same respect as the mother but I haven’t I been treated with the most disrespect from the Doctors to the surgeon team imagine been rob as a parent two weeks before Christmas my child was only going in surgery for a heart Defect get told everything was fine the surgery was successful but come out with blood spots around the brain we where told that this surgery has a high successful rate our child would make it and have a full fill normal life to lived. We went from planing the holidays to planning a funeral. The person who did my daughter surgery didn’t even give us enough respect to even give his condolences in person he did it over the phone yea you’re with your kids for the holidays but mines want see it. I can go on & on with this place but it’s wayyy too much to write. If you love your kids please do your homework on who’s doing your kids procedure. You don’t even deserve a star this was the only way I could get you guys attention.
This was such a great hospital for my child! I loved it they took the best care of him with their trauma team just amazing. As we were leaving just now something told me to turn around and take a photo so I did just that and this is what I saw.
My baby was getting sick and was admitted into the hospital a few times. A lot of the staff was great, except for 1 doctor, Dr. Benson. She isn't a good communicator, makes questionable medical decisions, and her billing doesn't quite seem accurate (I checked what she billed my insurance). Our baby had been in the hospital 6 days and we felt comfortable leaving as he was better and we were going to see some specialists (which ultimately helped a lot more them she ever did). She wouldn't discharge him and said if we left she would call child services. I asked to speak to her boss and instead of letting me speak to her boss, she sent her colleague who was working the next shift (which made me feel that she wasn't being ethical because if I'm ever asked by someone to speak to my manager, I do because I know what I'm doing is correct). She also ordered a test that even a nurse knew wasn't really going to help or was needed. Once Dr. Benson's shift rotation for the week was done and a new doctor started, she immediately allowed us to be discharged Dr. Benson makes the hospital feel like a prison. Just want to warm others about her!
The experience that my family had with Wolfson Children's Hospital was wonderful. As we learned that we would be going through every parents worst nightmare, the staff was nothing but kind and caring. They brought comfort to our worried minds and treated us like family. I couldn't imagine going through anything like this alone. But we didn't have to at Wolfson's. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts💕
Wolfson Children's Hospital is simply the best. Unfortunately I had to bring my daughter to ER for almost a week long fever. She was fine by the first 3 days, we administered meds prescribed by her pediatrician but her body wasn't responding, fever keeps coming back and so we rushed her to the ER. As soon as we entered their premises, the nurses performed series of lab exams, we were admitted and after 5 days we were discharged. There is really something in the hospital that can easily ease not just the child's but also every anxious mom's spirit. The doctors and nurses are nothing but wonderful, from the moment we entered they have been so warm and genuinely caring for my daughter. I hope to never come back here in the future but if ever we need to, we'd definitely go without a second thought. Thank you for giving my child the love and care she needed.
